WSU Lean Whitebelt training program
This training program is designed to equip the Wayne State University (WSU) workforce with the foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. The goal is to drive effective, impactful, and sustainable organizational changes through Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), supporting the University's mission to produce a 21st Century Student.
Curriculum and foundation
The training curriculum is structured based on excerpts from the "Lean Six Sigma White Belt Training 201-1.pdf," authored by Kanye Gardner, Director of CQI for O.A.A.C.Q.I.
The program introduces participants to the core components of operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies, specifically covering:
- Operational Excellence foundational concepts.
- Lean methodology and principles.
- Continuous Improvement Cycles (e.g., PDSA).
- Waste Reduction strategies.
- Root Cause Analysis techniques.
